Default 6600 GT VS. X700 PRO PCI Express 16x

Hey Guys!

Im building a new pc, and its going to have a $200 videocard for PCI-E ( the motherboard is an A8n-SLI deluxe). The two videocards that I have heard are good for pci-e and are under $200 are :

the x700 PRO
(http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-414&depa=1)

Or

the 6600 GT
(http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-098&depa=1)

Right now I am leaning towards the x700 PRO because it has 256 Megabites. But I have heard otherwise. If you guys know of any other videocards that are pci-e and under $200, than please let me know. If not, than tell me which one of these cards is better in your opinion.

On another note, does anyone know how much the x800 xl will cost? or when it will be released?\

Thanks for the help guys!

nVidia 6600gt > Ati X700 pro.....The 256mb actually doesnt help the card at all. 256mb actually makes it slower

well ya because the more ram, the slower the frequency. the x700 has much better arch than the 6600 gt. the only reason the 6600 gt outperforms that **** IN GAMES is because the x700 is restricted to a 128-bit bus width even though it is being streamed in dual channel.

I thought about running 2 6600 GTs, but then I figured, if i wanted to spend that much money, I could just get a 6800 GT vidcard, which I have heard runs better than dual 6600 GTS.

If you know anything about that let me know.
