Default 512 MB 6800's w00t

the 512 MB model 6800 has been released (well at least thats what i read). How sic would it be to have two of those on SLI, 1Gb of video memory:-o!!!!! I gotta get meself one, anyone know how much they go for (preferably in $A)?

Well, the Asus 256mb V9999 ULTRA sells for like 1200 or so Australian, so Im guessing the 512 version of a normal 6800Ultra would be around that. maybe a bit more

err in the voodoo2 sli days the textures would be in each card, so it was still the same amount of memory. Its probably still the same, but I don't know for sure. 512 is still a hell of alot of video memory.

Doom3 with Ultra settings is the only current game that can even use the 512mb vram buffer....1gb of video memory in SLI, might even make things perform slower
