well, i'm still collecting some of the parts . . .

most is savings account

but i've been working for my dad the last 2-3 summers, and i get some money for that

but no, i havn't bought ALL the stuff . . .

and instead of getting an fx-53, i may just go for a 3500+ and save the $480.

plus i'm not going to buy the sound card, speakers or dvd burner when i build the machine

for a while, i'm just going to use integrated sound and my old 2.1 speakers for a while, and use the extra cd-rw that we had from an old computer

i'll get the dvd burner about 2 months after the particular model i want comes out, and the sound card/speakers later on, too

koldapu, i have the same 7.1 system as you

its connected to a 5.1 card though. on the back, i put 5.1 upmixed to 7.1

even with that, is the center channel suppose to work? lol

well i havnt built the system yet and i havnt bought the speakers yet

but basically, the a 7.1 system is just a 5.1 system with 2 extra surround speakers . . .

so yeah i guess the center channel should work

weird...my center channel doesn't work. even without it, 6 speaker (that is working right now) and a sub for $70, i can't complain. lol
