Default $300-$400 processor/mobo combo?

I have a friend who has a 300-400 dollar budget for a processor and mobo. what would be the best combination for this price range?

EDIT: Mobo must have an AGP slot

nf4 will be PCI-E based, and he needs an AGP slot. I recommend the MSI Neo2-FIR.

why go AGP? simple, his friend has an AGP gfx card; also, the bandwidth of AGP (8x) and pci-express (16x) doesn't even matter b/c games don't use up to even the 8x bandwidth yet

Get a athlon 64 3200+ revision E processor and K8NSC-939 board. I've never had a problem with gigabyte. Although the 64 3200's venices (revision E) ship out on may 20th. I just went with a winchester cause i didnt want to wait and Im getting a 30 dollar rebate with the cpu.
