also, after putting a new hard drive, it could be running warmer than the old one
are you running 2 hard drives in it now?

I got 4 now instead of 2 but the thing that gets me is the ambient air still goes down to 18C which generally in the past made the CPU at 28-30C I don't know, I'll be removing one of the HD's though because it's a small crappy old 10gb plus it looks as if it's causing me heat perhaps.

Not possible it's under a glass top desk that has no sides, it's in the exact same position.
