Hey everybody, im new to this forum and its great. I have a question, what do you think would win, performance wise. Do you think that an Amd Athlon 3000+ @ 2.2 Ghz(highest it goes until 64bit) With 512 Cache would win over a 2.7Ghz Celeron with 256 Cache, Supposing that the 2 systems have the same amount of RAM and other factors? I know that AMD measures their processor speeds differently from Intel as well... Let me know what ya think. Thanks!

Celeron is not the way to go when it comes down to comparing it to ANY processor. If you must choose from those 2, then get the Athlon.

hey let me share something i learnt over here

athlon == gaming
pentium == everything except gaming
celeron == umm errr... is there any thing else left

Not only would that AMD SLAUGHTER the celeron, but it would SLAUGHTER the Pentium 4 2.7Ghz as well....

AMD has lower clock cycles thatn pentium, but they can accomplish more with each clock cycle. Definately the way to go if u are gaming.
