ok, currently i have 1gb RAM in my computer (1 x 512mb and 2 x 256mb dual channeled). I'm thinking about replacing my 2 x 256mb sticks of RAM with 2 x 512mb of RAM but I saw an interesting chart in my motherboard manual. It has 5 columns: Number of DIMMs, DIMM1, DIMM2, DIMM3, and Max Speed. I currently have it set up: Number of DIMMs=3, DIMM1=Double Side, DIMM2=Single Side, DIMM3=Single Side, and Max Speed=DDR333. If I were to implement the replacing of those memory sticks, I would get: Number of DIMMs=3, DIMM1=Double Side, DIMM2=Double Side, DIMM3=Double Side, and Max Speed=DDR200. Obviously DDR200 is a lot slower then DDR333. Would it be better for me to stick with my 1gb DDR333 memory or go for 1.5gb DDR200 memory? Would it make that big of a difference in performance? Thanks for the help.

Getting a DIMM with slightly less memory but higher FSB and lower latencies is more efficent then getting more memory with a slower speed.

ddr333 and 200 both suck

but if you want the unsuckier of the suckers, then get the ddr333

more than 1 gig won't help you at all

Really, you should scrap it all and go for DDR400. Believe me, its worth it. PC2700 and PC2100 are old news now. DEFINATELY don't get the DDR200.
