16- and 48-core monster chips on tap at next week's ISSCC
And the winner? Intel, introducing the 48-core... ok well not introducing, but planning on spilling some beans on it lol... and more in there... Sun has been bought by Oracle? AMD working on a new core that nobody knows when it's release date is? And finally, a chart listing the latest iterations of Intel's top of the line processors... what does IBM have up their sleeve? .85V????

A bunch of power unmanageable these days. You need a power plant in your back yard. Barbecue anyone?

That is untrue, you just need a good source of power and maybe a couple power supplies. Not enough to have a BBQ or you wouldn't even have a chip that doesn't melt.
