Would a 1GB stick or DDR2 be as good as 2 512 MB sticks. Is there a performance difference?
Mobo being ASUS P5LD2

And Mem being
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)

Or
CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)

This question has probably been asked a hundred times as I look at other forums but I hear one way from one guy and the other way from another. Can anybody help me here?
Not sure I understand the whole 64MB versus 128MB thing. Looks like the same $ for either way.
Thanks

get the 2X 512mb ram the you can have your mobo run the ram in dual channel which is faster than having one stick of ram in one slot.I cant explain it better than that but I know running the two sticks of ram will be better that the one.
