Hi guys I am trying to connect a

hdd1905 l zk01 dc 3.3v 500 ma
240gb
hard disk, to my laptop G73Jh-A2 using a zif to usb adapter/case:
USB 1.8" Hard Drive ZIF/LIF HDD External Enclosure Case - eBay (item 120646773337 end time Dec-12-10 20:03:33 PST)
but when I connect this zif had disk to the pc, the hard disk letter does not appear in the my computer folder , eventhough the tray shows the unplug hard disk icon and if I click on it, it asks me if I want to release the hard disk.
So practically the hard disk, can not be browsed and formatted...any help please ?
Also, when I open the computer management, I get this message:
You must initialize a disk before Logical Disk Manager can access it
Select disks:
Disk1
Use the following partition style for the selected disks:
MBR (Master Boot Record)
GPT (Guide Partition Table)
I selected the MBR and hit OK and than I get his meassage :
the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error
Do u think the hard disk is broken or the Zif to usb is broken ?
