Z-5500 troubles

Just recieved my speakers today.

Basically I'm receiving no sound.

Took everything upstaires and hooked it up accordingly.

Im using the Karajan Modular On board sound on my DFI board.

I start windows, the SoundTouch Control Center turns on and the input is Direct 96-24 Effect: 6 Ch direct as it seems I can't any other effect to work as well.

when I turn the volume up all the way I can here white noise, not loud, faintly, but I can defiantly hear it. I plugged the Green black and light orange into the back of the mobo by color code and im almost positive I hooked them up right.


Dont know if this is driver related or anything.

Just came of 2.1 and set the speakers to 5.1 in the Contol panel, stil nothing..


Any Ideas....?

Another thing is I can feel the massive heatsink on the back on the Sub getting warm.

Ah well I have them up and running now.


Well Im kinda dissapointed.


I did the test and it worked fine, but I thought the Sub would have more of a BOOM to it....


ehh Using Stereo X2 for Itunes, All 4 speakers are working, they sound good, but its the sub im Worried about. I have it all the way up and I can barley even feel air coming out of the hole.

I might post this in audio and see if I get a awnser.
