Hi! I just bought a new Seagate 120GB SATA. What I wanted to do is copy the files of my previous system disk, which is a 40GB maxtor IDE to my freshly installed sata disk.
i've already installed Windows XP in the SATA drive. My question is: How do i configure the IDE to become slave even if it has also Windows XP installed in it too?
I understand that SATA's are not Masters nor Slaves but only one physical drive. should i set the IDE jumper to Master? Slave? or Auto-select? Another thing is, what should be the order of the detection i must follow?...
p.s. i have only one CD-Rom drive installed in my PC. it is connected to the IDE2 port. the original hardisk is connected to the IDE1 port. I just dont want to use just one cable for them... it looks ugly... hehehe!
thanks for the help guys!
