Hi Guys!

First day and already crying for HELP!!!

Got my new Mobo XFX 750a SLI just yesterday.

I mounted the mobo on my V9 Black Edition and pluged everything in....

My Computer Specs are:

AMD Athlon x2 5200 2.7 Ghz
4 Gigs OCZ 800 Mhz DDR2
OCZ Fatal1ty 750Watts Modular PSU
XFX GeForce 9800 GT 512mb
Western Digital 80.0 Gb HD
Samsung 500 Gb HD
Samsung 1 TB HD
LG DVD+RW Dual Layer Drive
(all HD and DVD Drive are SATA)

The problem is, at first i couldn't get it to start, i wasn't being abble to see anything on the screen, resolved by getting out the Video card to config the Bios and then try placing the Video Card Again.

So i get image, start the BIOS ... and then, i almost fainted...

Screen got Gray and then everything went dark, and the computer did not start again.

thing is, Memory Leds and power Led on the MOBO are ON!, but no matter how many buttons i press the computer won't start!!!!

any ideas??? :D

thankssss!!!!

Does your board have a pulse? CPR!

Any beeps, fan turns on?

Are you sure you have all connections, snug? RAM, 24-pin, 8-pin CPU power pin?

Try using the bare minimum, board, PSU, 1 stick of RAM, onboard/dedicated GFX. Take off all others, as hard drives. See if you get anything.

Welcome to TF, by the way.

noooooo... not a single fan turning on :S.... and that's the weirdest thing =(

i took out the video card, and 3 memory modules...i didn't try removing the hard drives and dvd drive thouh.... no bips... when i meant it doesn't start... i really did...

regarding the power connectors it has very single one ATX, the aditional power cable that here is 6 pins and not 4 like my older mobo... i'm starting to believe i should have stayed with my ASUS M4N78... ¬¬

this is the most weird issue i've ever dealt with...

i'll try that one with 1 mem and nothing more (well cpu as well :p )

Thanks for the welcome.. and I LOVE your Avatar :p

The 6 pin is for your video card.

You still have a 4 pin.. you need to get that plugged in... but on yours its an 8 pin plug... Heres a good site with your layout
XFX nForce 750a SLI Motherboard Review :: nForce 750a Layout :: Motherboards.org

You just use the 4 pin into the 8 pin. Just unplug the drives, leave them in place though.

ahhh... sorry was the 8 pin...

so...i don't use the 8 connector pin?, just 4 of them?...

****.. tell me i didn't burn anything :S

the guys at XFX Helpdesk told me to try the motherboard on the box with the anti-static bag, and with the less things on it...

i will try this as well!!!

thank youu!!!

i will let you know what happened

It might be the mobo, or it might be ram too.

Did you plug the 8 pin pci-e into the cpu power? eeek... that mighta hurt you.

You can use the same 4 pin you had used before, and just use the 4 pin in one half of the plug.

Well, looks like you should try a warrenty return... g/l
