Im not sure if this is the right section to put this, but mods can move stuff right? 
Anyways, I just bought a VGA adapter so i can play my xbox on my monitor and the visuals are working, but im not sure what to do about the sound. The adapter gives me red and white audio cables but my monitor only has 1 input for audio, where a green cable goes in. The other end of that green cable goes to my tower and connects into my soundcard (i think).
So when i plug in either red or white cable into the spot where the green cable goes, no sound comes out at all. If i bought this adapter would it work? Because i always thought the red was the left audio and the right was the white audio or something like that. If that is the case shouldn't i be getting some sound?
