x800-xt Heatsink fan

The video card that i have is a ati x800-XT and the heatsink fan will spin and work untill i go to the login screen where there it stops and when i need it to cool down my card in games, it just doesnt blow. I cleared all the dust that was on it, unscrewed it to see if any wires were out or anything and i could not find the problem. If anybody could help i really would appriciate it. thanks.

ok spray some wd 40 on your gfx card. No im not talking about alot. But little spurts all around it. That worked for my card.
