Ok guys...
here's my problem:

I've ordered a Sapphire ATI x1650pro some days ago, and recieved it today.
When I put it in my pc and wanted to boot it just stopped at:

verifying dmi pool data...................

Well....
when I put my old gfc card in (sapphire 9800pro) everything works fine.

I've tried some things like checking all power supplies, reseting the bios, trying other bios settings....

I also can't boot from my windows cd to reinstall windows, cause I dont get the
"Press any button to install windows" thingy...

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

Ps: I'm not a native english speaker so i apologise for all mistakes.

check if the card doesnt need a power cable to.
have unistalled ur ATI driver before you pulled out your old 9800pro?

"I've tried some things like checking all power supplies, reseting the bios, trying other bios settings...."

ye it needs one of those cabels.

no i didnt uninstall the driver, but the OS doesnt load the drivers at that very point during the boot procedure.

sounds like an odd situation. check the card is installed correctly in the slot, so many times they don't "click" all the way in. the next possibility is a power problem which i doubt seeing as you're sure you've plugged in the powerm, unless the power supply is at fault. if possible try another power supply. other than that i would guess the card is faulty.

ive re-plugged the card like 20 times, tryed different ram configurations, bios settings etc...

im tired of this bs-.-
everytime if my life i bought something new for my pc, it didnt work-.-
BAHHHHHHH.... (planing suicide [im not EMO])^^

Did this problem ever get solved? Im having exactly the same problem and it's driving me crazy. Can't do anything about it. If someone has any ideas please help me.

Do you have the Extra power cable connected properly ?

When the computer BIOS is "Verifying DMI pool data" it is simply
checking with that the table of data it sends to the operating system
is ok.

You must of not Connected it properly or Tampered with the Hard Drive in some way ?
