hello, i have a problem with my pc that is i tried to install the os for the first time suddenly i am getting messenge that ' YOU INSTALLED A WRONG CPU, SYSTEM WILL BE SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE'' my processor is intel p4 3.4 ghz, not dual core. motherboard 865 gsal, 2 gb of ram, 120 gb seagate sata, 256 mb agp vga of geforce. please help me,....

can you gave me more information on the motherbioard ie socket type or anything else?

yes i am using the motherboard of GSAL 915 chipset intel original

your Motheboard needs BIOS upgrade. this can only be done by using some old P-4 and then upgrading BIOS and re-inserting your current CPU.

although it shouldnt have showed the problem as its a springdale chipset anyway, but anyway.
