wont boot up...

hi i just built my first rig and last 2 days were fine..and now it wont boot...
(using DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR)
diagnostic light stops at 3led lit.
did i fry cpu?? well...that would suck..
cuz what i did was re-appling thermal paste...(changing to AS5)
and added FDD..
i unplugged FDD and result is the same...at 3LED..
all fans spin fine and power LED flashes.
and mobo's 4th diagnostic LED rapidly flashes twice then stops at 3LED and stays..
pls help...

What does it say in the motherboard book about the LED's?Do you have the BIOS set to shut down if it gets too hot?Can you even get into your BIOS?You didnt get thermal paste on anything else but the chip did you?You have to keep it neat or you can short out the CPU.Is it seated good.Check your ram to make sure its seated good also.

i just cleared cmos and it all worked!
