I just got a new asus p4v8x-mx mobo to replace a ms 6577 in my HP. All was going well until i tried to connect the cables front the front panel. None of the connectors line up with the pins. Do i need to cut the connectors off, hook up single connectors? Or is there a simpler way? Please someone help.

Are you talking about the cables coming from the front inputs on your case like USB, Firewire and audio jacks?
You need to look up the schematics to your new motherboard so you know what goes where.
It also could be that your new motherboard doesn't have all the options like the stock board.

If you have 4 usb ports on the front of your machine and the new motherboard only will support 2, then you have a problem. Stuff like that.
