Wireless Keyboard No Work

I'm running XP Pro on a Sony PCV-RX950. Recently, I added a Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A All went well for a couple days and then there was no connection. Troubleshooting got me to a screen called Keyboard Properties which gave details of the Driver Version and Details. The wireless battery is labled good and the signal quality is High. A further analysis of the keyboard reveals the device can not start (Code 10). I am also using a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0 which does and has always worked fine.
Thus far, I've deleted the drivers a couple times, I've deleted all referrence to the keyboard a few times but I always come back to the same non-communication thing.
Suggestions gratefully accepted.

Dont you have to configure the keyboard to communicate with the receiver? Read the directions.

Wireless keybords normally use soome type of USB infrared receiver of some type. There are also special drivers that are required for these receivers and wireless remote controls. These drivers are made my X10. Here is a link. Try installing these drivers and let me know if it worked.
