Windows Xp wont shut down

hi..

I recently purchased a Lenovo G550 laptop. Everything was working perfectly fine, then I had to change place and access internet using a ethernet cable. Once I access internet, the computer wont shut down. I tried everything, disable the network, updated the driver.. Nothing helps. Only thing that works sometimes is if I unistall the ethernet driver.

Please help..I dont want to manually shut down my laptop everytime and damage the system.

You may want to check to see if there is a newer driver out and see if that fixes the problem.

I already downloaded the latest version a cpl of days ago when the problem started.
