Wierd beep sound from the Motherboard!

Hi there ,

I got

Gigabyte GA-8IDX motherboard........a problem arised....some times wn i reboot the MB fails to boot and give an accelerated intermittent beep....like beep beep beep beep....very fast and the power led turns on and off with the same rythym.

I know the beep sound of RAM and VGA and thats not one of them !

Any help is much appreciated.

If you have smart FAN enabled in the bios about warning you then that can sometimes make the pc beep but not sure about the power LED thing.

Check your pc is all connected properly no loose wires especially your USB and your power connector to the mobo push all cables in make sure nothings come loose.

Althought you said that it is not the ram. Reseat the ram anyways. Check if the fans are running. Do a power drain, that might help.

U probally have a Piece of ram going out if u ask me thats what usually happens

Thanks all for ur replying , i guess i should do a memtest and see how it goes , hope its just a ram.
