I have a Hanns G 17" widescreen (1440 x 900 native) and I can't seem to be able to get aspect ratio scaling to work correctly. I have a 7600 GS, and when I choose "Do not scale", it works to some extent: when I choose 1024 x 768 I get a black border, except the desktop is still stretched, as if it were still widescreen. Because of that, choosing "NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" ends up scaling (and stretching) 1024 x 768 to simply fill the screen up again (no vertical black borders).
Also, sometimes the option I choose doesn't get saved, and it reverts back to regular NVIDIA scaling.
I'm using Windows XP Home SP2 and have the most recently released drivers installed (92.24, 21st May 2007).
