why does my computer always hang?

my computer always hangs when im browsing my i.e . not only dat, sumtimes the the programs i open all hang...causing my computer to crash. dat i haf to restart.help??

Hi. List your computer's specifications...Motherboard, Ram, CPU,etc.. Also, How long has this been going on? What version of IE do you have? What are those other programs you open and hang? Does it happen all the time? Post back with more info,ok?

Without the above information, I would guess probably a lack of sufficient memory (RAM)... but that's just a guess and no way to know for sure without more information.

using a windows xp...motherboard realli no idea...ram of 512 ..compaq presario 2200 laptop...it happens all e time..and i dun rmbr when it started...version of ie..is well the new one?that has the tabs u noe?im not realli good with IT stuff..actuali other programs that hangs are basically..everything!!every prog i open will hang....and even when pressing ctrl alt delete task manager will hang...
