Hello!
Over the past week or so I've noticed a high pitched whining noise coming from my computer case. After cutting power to it and opening up the case I was about to check the fans when I noticed the whining starts even before the system is powered on, the minute I connect my power cord to the power supply it begins. Based on that I'm not sure if I'm dealing with simply a bad power supply or a bad component on the system board such as a capacitor going.
I do not know my make and model of power supply and system board offhand other than to say that the PS is an Antec. Considering bringing it in this Monday unless the solution is much more simple.
