hello, when i overclock my computer i hear popping sounds coming from the speakers. i know its not the onboard sound because i have used 3 different speakers including a headphone and i can still hear the popping/cracking sounds. what's going on?

EDIT: btw, the cracking sound is only heard on the left speaker.

maybe my reply wont help
neway...
i've had the exact same problem before....although it wasn't for overclocking...
it had something to do with my hard disc...

well i installed nvidia drivers and after i restarted those popping sounds started...
and later i realised the transfer mode for my HDD was changed to PIO mode...
i donno why but in PIO mode i always get those sounds from my speakers...
so i just deleted the DMA entries for that drive from the registry and restarted and the tranfer mode was redetected and everything was back to normal :)

but i doubt this will help....hope it does though :)

i don't think its anything related to the OS because when i POST or going into the BIOS, my left speaker already starts popping and cracking.
