My drive no longer works,i try to boot it and it says "please install an os on your drive" and when i try to do so it is not detected.i use it as an external on another pc and it is not detected.Im not sure what caused this but it is either the fact that i opened the drive(stupid decision) or the faullty cable i connected to the drive to use it a an external(which alsoo fried another drive),what can be wrong and can i(semi tech pro)fix the hdd.

If it's clicking, it's dead.

Your only option is to replace it at this point, especially since you decided to open it.

No, you can't fix it. Once a drive is clicking, it has limited time to live. If there's important data on it, you'll have to send it to a professional data recovery business, which is usually at least $500, at least here in the US it is.
