Default What in the world happened...?

I just got 2x1gig Crucial Ballistix yesterday from Newegg. After living with cheap RAM for so long, I was eager to throw it in my rig and start OCing. So, I installed it, used it regularly for about 4 hours, decided I needed to OC it a bit. I read it's supposed to run at 2.2V, I set it to that. Upon rebooting, the rig won't even boot. So I went back to factory settings, still wouldn't boot. Won't even get to the BIOS screen. Decided maybe the RAM was defective, threw in my old RAM that had been working forever. Still wouldn't boot to the BIOS menu. Took out the CMOS jumper thing, did that whole reset, still nothing. Finally, took off the jumper, booted to the screen where I can choose my OS, but since I uninstalled Vista, it's still been an option but doesn't work. Well, the keyboard won't work because by default it's OS-controlled, and I can't boot it with the CMOS jumper in place, so it just constantly resets to factory settings. Therefore, I consider myself pretty much screwed. Any ideas? At this point, I don't even know which component is broken. In case it's important, I believe my rig is in my sig.

Alright, update. I went out and got a new CMOS battery just in case that was the problem. it doesn't appear to be. Now, when i boot with the jumper in the correct position, it gets stuck on POST screen C1.

I can't make it to the BIOS screen. Nothing shows up on my monitor. It doesn't get that far in the boot sequence.

i think it's just a matter of knowing really knowing now...since you SAY you did everything correctly

i'll describe my process and just see if it compares to yours...

i decide to oc...fiddle with the bios...things go well....reboot...see if I can do more...fiddle...boink...oc wall

I turn off, take out the battery.....then put back in thinking it clears, it doesn't. Turn off, take out battery, set jumper to recovery...turn on...reset system...power off. Put back in battery, return jumper to start...turn on and go go go

Do your fans run? Do you get any beep codes? Is your motherboard light on?
You may have a power supply problem. But that just a best guess and maybe not a good one. Try to remove Motherboard put on antistatic bag with the CPU Vid Card power supply memory mouse keyboard hooked up and try to fire it up. just bridge the two power front pin headers to fire it up.

Never use an antistatic pad to let electronics sit on when turned on....
