What the heck is going on with my HD

Hard drive problems.


Ok I brought my WD 200 GB SATA hard drive to a freinds house to give him some music.

He has alienware PC so we turned it off, opened the side, plugged everything and everything goes smoothly.


I transfer all the music, and then I leave with my hard drive.

Well everytime its plugged into my computer, I cant boot.


I have a raptor with my OS on it and the 200 GB is for all my music.

When I un-plug it and dissconnect the SATA cable, Windows boots fine, But when I plug it in windows will not boot and It will restart.

any ideas why?

Perhaps he had a virus on his computer? You know what friends computer's are like....
