Question What is the Bes Way to Test a System?

What is the best way to test a system excludeing a power surply tester. I've tested the system PSU and all is in good working order, now I want to manually and thouroghly test ever componed in the system but dont have anything other than a baic PSU tester.

I can think of booting the system looking at the BIOS, checking all is regestering ect: thus the Voltages, & all other DATA within the BIOS but not sure about individual components from a Hardwere side of things as in the tower, Pluging in components ect.

Can any one make clear or help.
