Default what the f*#k !!!!!

ok, everytime i log into my computer i have to type my password in my password so that windown xp can begin. (not on welcome screen, before that) when i type in the password it say valid password windows is now starting up. BUT A SECOND LATER THE ON THE BOTTOM OF THAT IT SAYS NTLDR IS MISSING. . i have the recovery cds but they wont start. how else can i fix this problem????

Your boot sector is corrupted and you need to use fixmbr command from the boot disc. For instructions google "NTLDR IS MISSING".

Do you mean you're typing in the password set in the BIOS?

Yes he is talking about the CMOS password, and his boot sector is forsure corrupt. I've had that problem before when I uninstalled a linux boot sector on my hard drive. All you have to do is put in the xp cd, boot to it, do repair at console and type in "fixmbr". Reboot and its fixed.
