What is a paging file size and what would be a good setting to set it too?

it should usually be 1.5-2x the amount of ram.

I usually set mine to 2076-4076. Page filing is basically the system using the hard drive to load and store temp info...

ya paging file is like virtuall ram. when the physical ram runs out it begins swaping bytes over to the harddrive pagefile this is quite slow however compared to ram so if you find yourself constantly running out virtual memory, pagefile, its time to update your system with more ram.

nope. but it does have a limit... set it respective to your hard drive. you don't want hald your HD to be for page filing... maybe 1% of it... Like I said, I have 2GB to 4GB in respect of a 36GB

ya it wont improve preformance you are supposed to make it 1.5-2x the ammount of ram you have though. how much ram do you have right now? if you are getting vertual memory low errors i woud upgrade your ram and not bother with the page file.
