I have used this computer for over an year, just started having issues recently. complete freeze and or blue screen.

steps i've done to troubleshoot.
  • reverted CPU to default speed.
  • swapped out C drive with clean install of windows 8
  • windows 8 is up to date
  • swapped my D drive with a different hard drive
  • changed out power supply.
  • Prime95 52 tests stable, intelburntest v2.54 10 passes stable.
  • changed out graphics card
  • memtest86 10 passes stable
  • cpu temps are ok
  • GIRMwhY.jpg

I am guessing it's my motherboard that's gone bad?

Hi,
have you installed any new drive recently? it might be a corrupted drive or a bad drive.
perhaps try booting to last good known configuration(by pressing F8 while the machine is booting) or if you know which drive you installed before this started happening then just disable/uninstall it from the device manager.
second, it might a new hardware installed. Im sure if you installed a new hardware recently and its incompatible with your system , it will cause BSODs.
hope it resolves your issue.
