Default Is this a weird restart??

I have noticed recently that when I restart my computer it basically sound like it has shutdown and then after 5 or so seconds it starts back up again. Before it restarted quickly, without the sound of the HDD stopping like it would on shutdown.

Anyone got any ideas? Or is this just normal?

If it's not causing any other problems I don't think you should be worried about it.

Not sure exactly what you are saying, but if your saying it taking a little longer for it to restart then thats normal because usually we add more and more to the hardrive. with proper maintenance (defragging and scandisk) once a month this will help keep the system performance at its best. people who fail to do it on a regular bases and decide to defrag after 6-8 or even a year usally find themselves posting at such tech boards saying there computers are not booting properly because they defraged. what happened is the fragmented clusters where so bad that the defrag just could no get them back. So make sure you do proper maintenance
