do you know where the noise coming from? if its coming from the hdd, then I think you should transfer all your important stuff to another hdd, because your hdd is bad.

There is alot of junk in my second hdd so ill clean it up. Would reformatting my second drive help??

Ok i was listening inside the case really good and its not coming from the hdd, its by the video card and cpu. I just cant figure out where its coming from, so far im thinking its the vid card.

would there be any chance of breaking it if he put his hand on the center of the gpu fan to slow it down a bit to see if the noise changes?

no, the most it'll do is raise the temp maybe a degree or 2 if he doesn't keep it stopped for long

do that then. if the noise does not stop, you know it is not that fan.

try that with the gpu fan and any other fan you have, and see which one is making the noise. just press on the center of it (not the blades) to slow it doewn, and see if the noise changes or stops. when the noise does change or stop, you know which fan to replace.

edit: oh, sorry. the gpu is ur graphics card processor. (graphics processing unit)
