Hey all,
i just got a new aoc 23 inch monitor. huge upgrade from a 17 inch 4:3. its wonderful.
however I've noticed that its got this weird... "flickering" thing. like i can see the screen refreshing or something. i used to see it on old crt monitors but never on an lcd.

so my question is: what is going on? is it my video card? is it my powersupply?

im running win7 32 bit, 9800gt, latest nvidia 195 drivers etc.
oh i should mention im using a dvi to analog converter because i dont have a dvi cable. could that be the problem?

Sometimes the resolution is set to some weird interlacing type in the nvidia control panel.

So in the nvidia control panel make sure the resolution doesn't have any letter after it such as i or x.

My buddy one time changed his res to 1920X1080i and it did a weird flicker..

Also check manufacturer specs for the correct refresh rate.

My brother had the exact same problem with his LG 22". Apparently the analog cable wasn't thick enough to completely protect the video signal and some interference (don't quite know what) was causing the screen to flicker. He bought a thicker cable and hasn't had any problems since.
