Default Wake up!!

When i turn my PC on at the back the fan comes on and the red light at the front comes on which is fine. The problem is that's all it does pressing the button or holding it in does nothing it wont switch on. When i bought this PC i was told it was temperamental and may need a new IDE.
Could this be the cause of the problem or is this something else?

You should never have to turn a PC on at the back, there is a button at the front....

Bouncing off of Corrosive, you should never have to turn on in the back. Just use the front power button to turn it on. Leave the back switch on.
