Hi
I have a gigabyte 7vt600p-rz board
I can put this in to sleep mode (I think S3 state) and wake it up with a magic packet.
However if I put it into S4 (hibernate) it will not wake.
When in Hibernate there is still a light next to the network connection port so I am assuming the card is still receiving power.
Also when I first send the packet there appears to be about 1 second of activity (noise) and then nothing more although on subsequent sends nothing happens.

I have checked with wireshark that packet is getting to pc in switched on state - it must also be getting there in sleep state so I have no reason to suppose that it is not getting there in hibernate state.

I have read somewhere that some psu's do not provide enough power in hibernate state but assume as I have alight that mine is OK.
I have PME event and WOL enabled in the Bios
I also have ACPI suspend type to S1 (although not sure this is relevant)

It may be that my pc is not capable of being woken from Hibernate but I really think it should be able

Any help hints etc gratefully received
(or requests for further info if I have not described the problem technically enough)
Thanks
Richard
