A very quick Google search came up with this : Disable The System Restore In Windows Vista ~ Windows Fanatics Once disabled, all previous restore points are deleted.

OP OP C changsterdj Baseband Member Messages 36 Aug 22, 2009 #6 thanx i will give try and I am not in a pinch to have space, it just seems odd, that lots of GB of space just disappear like i had 122 GB left, and then i turn on my comp, and I am at 100gb left just tryna find out where it goes

J jambab Baseband Member Messages 99 Location United Kingdom Aug 22, 2009 #7 ye, well the other option is to just manually back-up onto a CD or any other device and disable system restore, if it gets too much of a pain. but i recommend you keep it turned on.
