Do you have system restore turned on?

Could be the reason its taking up space as it creates more and more restore points

A very quick Google search came up with this :

Disable The System Restore In Windows Vista ~ Windows Fanatics

Once disabled, all previous restore points are deleted.

Are you in a pinch for drive space? Because if not, having multiple restore points is a good thing.

thanx i will give try

and I am not in a pinch to have space,

it just seems odd, that lots of GB of space just disappear

like i had 122 GB left, and then i turn on my comp, and I am at 100gb left

just tryna find out where it goes

ye, well the other option is to just manually back-up onto a CD or any other device and disable system restore, if it gets too much of a pain.

but i recommend you keep it turned on.

System Restore, Shadow Copies, the paging file, temp files, etc can all eat up space.
