Default Video trouble

Machine: an IBM Thinkpad T20; had WinXP on it; I reformatted the HD and installed WIN98se (for a certain sw package I use).
Video comes up crappy and 16-colors (nothing else available).
Where can I find a decent video driver?
My Windows98se CD doesn't appear to contain something that will work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Doug
