Video card troubles...

[Duality]

I've recently installed an ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI video card into my computer and I'm experiencing some problems. For one, every time I try to start up Halo PC, I get an error:

A problem occured initializing DirectDraw. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG

Also, I've tried doing the tests on DxDiag and it fails the DirectDraw and the Direct3d Test. I've tried installing the latest drivers and it didn't work but I'm not sure if I did it right so I'm going to try it again. In the mean time, can someone help me?

Check for a patch for the game from the game maker.

Right Click on your Desktop and Choose Properties
once the Display Properties come up,
Choose the settings tab,
and choose advanced button,
Now you choose troubleshoot Tab at the top and see what the hardware acceleration is set on None are Full Move the slider to Full and reboot the pc and try your game again.

I've read that somewhere before and when I checked, my slider was already at the max. Also, I'm running the latest update for it.
