Default Video Card trouble

Hello, I don't really know much about hardware, but recently my video card has been acting funny. I have a Compaq nx9420 notebook with a Ati mobility x1600 graphics card. I use it for school work and games. Games I typically play are no longer working, I usually run WoW at around 60 fps, and Counter-Strike: Source fine. However since a few days ago when I try to play a game it will freeze and exit out, WoW will give me an error pointing to the graphics card and so does CS. I tried to update the drivers from the ATI site but when I download the install file it tells me I do not have the right hardware or system and I am absolutely sure I have selected the right options, anyone have any ideas? The problem seems to have come out of nowhere.

Try and get the exact drivers for the card, from a good source.
