Default video card malfunctioning

Hi everyone, my laptop is equipped with an ATI mobi radeon 9600 pro. While playing a game under minimal load, my screen displayed all these wierd lines. The game did not crash, the computer itself seems to be operating normally. The display stayed like that, even when the computer is posting through bios, os loading screens etc.

here is a screenshot.

anyone have any ideas what it might be?

If it happened Just after playing your game, than it seems like your screen has stuffed up, or more likely your Video Chipset
Intel Pentium 4 2.00Ghz FSB 400Mhz
MSI MS-6533 Motherboard
1 - Seagate 20Gb 1 - 40 gig Maxtor AND 1 Western Digital - 80 gig (Variety there eh)
Geforce 5200 128mb AGP
