Video card has stopped responding
So yeah my soon to be replaced card ( a cross shipment 9800 gtx+ is on the way ), but my current 9800 gtx that they sent me is having problems.
It crashed on Left 4 Dead ( after about an hour of play ) and soon after in Dead Space with a freeze/blank screen and then a crash to desktop saying the card has stopped responding, Microsoft report tool says:
"Error message in Windows XP: "STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER"
This issue occurs if the graphics adapter is caught in an infinite loop while it waits for the video hardware to become idle. This can indicate that there is a problem with "
So the issue isn't heat like with my 8800 gtx because the temps never go up to 77 celcius, so I was wondering does anyone know any other possible causes why these crashes are happening? ( obviously has to be hardware related at this point ). I have all the latest drivers and everything of course.
