It reduces processes running in the background, so it's easier to isolate problems and getting around to fixing them.

ok did that and same result, so i guess i'll install my 4870 into in and see


or should i try the monitor first?

Either one, and you should test both the extra monitor and graphic card.

Actually test out the extra monitor first. At least if that was the problem, you wouldn't had to have gone through the trouble of swapping out the graphic cards.

i will do that but how would it be the monitor if it works fine until the software is installed? wouldn't the monitor do that the entire time?

wow, it was the **** HDMI port, i used the other one and it works fine, wierd!

You've been using the HDMI port the whole time? Maybe it's faulty. Anyway, at least you solved that problem.

I have a 5750 but had the EXACT SAME problem, thing is I only have the one hdmi port, how did you fix it? I'd love any insight/help I'm at my wits end.
