Default Vaio Ide Ata/atapi Problem

Hi, hope you guys can help.
Run into a weird issue with my laptop (VAIO VGN-N21M), everytime it boots up it tries to find drivers for 2x ATA CHANNEL 0 under IDE ATA/ATAPI in the device manager.
After about 10mins it doesnt find anything, I have tried unistalling them, disabling them but no joy. I have even tried reinstalling the origianl chipset drivers etc but still the same things happens.

Under the IDE ATA/ATAPI there is no primary or secondry IDE only the following:
ATA CHANNEL 0
ATA CHANNEL 0
INTEL (R) 82801G (ICH7 FAMILY) ULTRA ATA STOARGE CONTOLLERS - 2DF
INTEL (R) 82801GBM (ICH7 M FAMILY) SERIAL ATA STOARGE CONTOLLERS - 27C4

I am running Vista Home Prem, to my knowledge I havnt updated anything and trying to roll back to an old restore point wont make any difference.
Anybody got any ideas its driving me nuts !!:freak:
