Default Using Laptop as Monitor?

Is there any way i can use my laptop as a monitor for my Desktop Computer? I want to try and do this so that i dont have to buy a monitor, just wanna kno if its possible? On the back of my lap top i have a connector that would allow me to add a monitor to my lap top, and i have an s-video connection. Any ideas would be appreciated.

if so it is very very hard, it has been done however requires alot of knowlage, so in answer, yes it IS possible however not worth it!

...I second that. You're gonna have to be familiar with electronics to mod something like this yourself.
