Default USB TV tuner errors (Sumvision T680)

I installed a USB TV tuner (Sumvision T680, bought from on my laptop, along with all software and drivers that came bundled with it. However, when I try to run the programs to watch TV I get three error messages.

1. "Connect INFTEE Stream To VideoDecoder Filter Failed!"
2. "Connect INFTEE Transport Stream To INFTEE2 Filter Failed!"
3. "Render Audio INFTEE output pin failed!"

From researching on the web I think that INFTEE refers to Infinite pin tee or something similar. When I use Windows XP Media Centre to try and watch TV, it simply says no tuner can be detected.
Any advice much appreciated.
