USB Problems please help.

OK I will just be working on something. And all of a sudden my computer will make a sound and then My USB goes out. It says in a little bubble that my USB has malfunctioned and to click for further info. I cant move mouse and My Keyboard is out to... No matter where i move my Keyboard and mouse to in the USB slots it wont work. So I have to Kill my comp...and pull plug to reset it or it wont reboot. Ive noticed that It doesnt just happen when i use certain programs it happens at random times. I dont know what to do... anyone have any answers?

What does the sound sound like? Do you have a ps2 mouse to plug into the round slot.Then you can move around and check out things. It sounds like the motherboard is going out but I'm just guessing at this point. You can try to reset the BIOS to default. Also you may be shorting out on your case. If nothing else works try to take the motherboard out of the case with the CPU video card ram drives and psu start it up and let it run.

My comp has no other ports... only USB. But thnx Ill check out the rest.

mobo is going out or your usb ports are shorting out.
